1. WHERE DOES THE EXTRA DIODE GO?
If you have a WIRED controller, The diode goes in the PCB where it has the diode icon. It is to the left on the accelerometer. If you have a WIRELESS controller you do not need it, and therefore, you can dispose of it.
2. DO I HAVE TO DRILL TWO HOLES IN THE BACK OF THE XBOX 360 CONTROLLER TO ACCESS THE TILTBOARD BUTTONS?
Yes, you do. We include a drill bit for this purpose.
3. DOES INSTALLING THE TILTBOARD CREATE ANY COMPLICATIONS WITH USING XBOX LIVE?
No, your Xbox Live use will not be affected.
4. I WANT TO HAVE TILT CONTROL, BUT I DON’T REALLY WANT TO INSTALL THIS MYSELF.
Some of our resellers preinstall this item for a fee. Divineo.com is one example.
5. AFTER INSTALLATION, THE TILTBOARD WON’T POWER UP. WHATS WRONG?
If it won’t power up, there is a short somewhere. Unlike some factories, we test 100% of tiltboards are tested before they are shipped. The most common solution is that you need to check your soldering job.
6. AFTER INSTALLATION, THE RING OF LIGHT ON THE CONTROLLER ROTATES SOMETIMES. WHY?
This is actually a sign that the wireless controller is running out of power. Therefore, you probably need to charge you batteries fully (like, overnight) or put new batteries in the controller and see if the condition persists. If it does, or if you are using a wireless controller, then it means you have a bad connection somewhere and need to check your wiring, or resolder a joint.
7. AFTER INSTALLATION, NEITHER THE TILTBOARD NOR THE STICKS HAVE ANY FUNCTION. OTHER BUTTONS WORK FINE. WHY?
If you have done a good job of soldering, then this means that the wiring to the potentiometers is not correct.
